My name is Ashleigh and like many of you, perhaps, I arrived at a pro-metabolic way of eating on my journey in search of answers to multiple chronic health conditions (Chronic Lyme, Mold, MCAS, etc.). Learn more about my story here.
And like you, I’ve tried it all, from vegan to carnivore. But ancestral pro-metabolic (moderate amounts of high quality animal products plus loads of tasty, whole food carbs) seems to be where I’ll stay.
It’s easy, delicious, and sustainable. Plus, I have way more energy than I’ve had in years and all the weird problems I gave myself going low carb for too long are slowly going away. Like, my keto-induced OCD has pretty much totally vanished and my hair has grown back, which is nice.
But I’ve also learned nutrition is so much more than the next hot diet that will finally fix me. Deep nutrition is first and foremost a journey into healing my relationship with myself and with the Divine.
So I’m here to spread the gospel of what it means to be truly nourished—wild, beloved, and free. And to offer those of you on the same path a little sweetness, hope, and sustenance on your journey.
